Adam Ruddle is the Chief Investment Officer at LV. He has responsibility for the investment management, allocation and optimisation of over £14bn of assets under management. His remit includes designing and setting investment strategies, managing group liquidity, the oversight of external asset managers and the structuring of physical and synthetic investment solutions for the company. Adam has been with LV= for nearly 15 years working in a wide range of roles including Asset Liability Management, Financial Reporting and Valuation, Capital Management and With-Profits oversight. He is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and holds the Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary designation.
Aileen Mathieson joined Aspen in November 2021, as the Group Chief Investment Officer and is based in the London office. She brings more than 15 years of investment and financial experience, and previously served at Aberdeen Standard Investments where she was Global Head of Insurance.
Prior to this, Aileen was CIO, UK Life for Zurich and during her career also held senior finance roles at Nucleus Financial Group plc, Standard Life Group, Diageo plc and EMI Music. Aileen started her career at KPMG.
Andrew is Director of Financial Risk at Just Group in the UK. He is responsible for the oversight of the Group’s management of market, liquidity, credit, and insurance risks as well as the production of the Group’s ORSA and Run-off plan.
Andrew joined Just after 9 years at the Prudential Regulation Authority where he was Solvency II lead for several large firms, supported supervisors assessing complex financial and commercial risks and drove work on liquidity risk. Prior to this Andrew held a series of senior roles at Zurich Insurance Group across both life and non-life insurance including as Commercial Director of the offshore life business, leading the European direct to SME business, and leading strategic planning for UK subsidiaries.
Andrew has an MBA from London Business School where he focused on finance and strategy. He has also helped build nuclear submarines and teach people to ride motorcycles.
Ankit Goyal is the Head of Capital Management at Argo Group. In this role, he is responsible for developing and overseeing the capital management framework across regulatory, rating agencies and economic views of capital ensuring strong capitalization and its efficient utilization. His prime focus is to have an effective capital strategy, provide insights into strategic initiatives and deliver risk-reward analysis to inform business decisions. Prior to that, he worked in actuarial consulting function in Deloitte and Willis Towers Watson. Ankit is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) and is a Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary (CERA).
Corrado Pistarino has more than 25 years' experience in capital market. He is Chief Investment Officer at Foresters Friendly Society.
Previously to his current positions, he was Head of Insurance LDI at Aviva Investors, responsible for over £10bn of insurance funds and £30bn of derivatives exposure.
His previous employers include Deutsche Bank, Dresden Kleinwort and ABN AMRO Bank. He worked in structuring/trading and client coverage, with a focus on ALM and capital management solutions.
Corrado has a degree in Physics from Turin University and a Master in Finance from London Business School.
David is Group ALM & Treasury Director at Aviva, with responsibility for the plc Treasury function and strategic asset allocation, asset liability management and hedging across the business. David has over 20 years’ experience in investment, risk, finance and capital within financial services across investment banking, pensions, insurance and reinsurance. He is an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Institute of Risk Management and a Director of Aviva Capital Partners which invests in regeneration and infrastructure projects in the UK. David holds a DPhil in applied mathematics from Oxford University and served as a visiting research fellow at OCIAM.
Guillermo Donadini, a seasoned global insurance investment professional with over 30 years of experience, serves as the Global CIO for General Insurance at AIG. In this role, he manages AIG's extensive $100 billion global portfolio, spanning 50 countries, guiding strategic asset allocation and investment outcomes.
His dynamic career encompasses senior leadership roles in international investment across Latin America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific, offering a global perspective on the insurance and investment sectors.
Guillermo is a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), actively supporting Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and upholding ethical standards. He invests in talent management, coaching, and mentoring, promoting high-potential colleagues within the industry.
Outside his professional life, Guillermo's commitment to social responsibility is evident in his role as a Trustee and chair of the Investment Committee at Independent Age, supporting elderly individuals. He also mentors for Career Ready, a national social mobility charity, empowering young people to achieve their career aspirations. His dual dedication to professional excellence and community engagement shapes his leadership approach and positive impact on both the financial industry and society.
Michela joined Phoenix Asset Management as Chief Credit Officer in May 2021. In this role, Michela is leading the Credit Research and Ratings team for all asset strategies pursued by Phoenix Group, which have capabilities to assign internal ratings to private credit and illiquid assets in an approach consistent with industry peers and adhere to regulatory requirements. Michela joined Phoenix from Pension Insurance Corporation where she served as Head of Ratings and Credit Research. Prior to that, Michela spent 14 years at S&P Global Ratings, London, most recently as Senior Director, Infrastructure Ratings – EMEA Analytical Head, managing a team of 20 analysts and a portfolio of over 150 issuers in the infrastructure sector. The portfolio included corporate and project finance transactions covering social infrastructure, road, transport and renewables. Michela started her career at Goldman Sachs within the Equities Division. She holds a DEA en Analyse et Politique Economique (Master in Economics) from EHESS, Paris and a Specialization in Finance as a Ph.D. candidate from HEC, Paris.
Moritz Zander, CFA is Head of Investments at New Reinsurance Company Ltd. Former experience includes Head of Origination, Capital Partners at New Re, VP, Capital Solutions EMEA and Senior Credit Underwriter at Swiss Re, and Economist at MIGA, World Bank Group. He holds a Masters degree in International Policy Studies from Stanford University and a licence degree (Bachelor of Arts) from the University of Geneva.
Xavier Solano is a Manager, Prudential Regulation and member of the Prudential Regulation Team. Responsible for coordinating the team and overview of prudential regulation.
He joined ABI in 2020 from London Stock Exchange Group. Prior to that he worked at the Westminster and Scottish Parliaments, the Scottish Government and in diplomacy.
Xavier began his career as a consultant in Barcelona. Shortly after he moved to Edinburgh to become an adviser to the then Leader of the Opposition in the Scottish Parliament.
He studied Political Science and International Business which allowed him to develop a career in diplomacy.
After three years as an adviser to an MP, Xavier spent five years at London Stock Exchange Group until 2020 when he joined the ABI’s Prudential Regulation team.
Bob is Head of Credit Risk in Hymans Robertson’s UK Insurance & Financial Services practice.
He is an investment industry veteran with deep experience of global credit and interest rate markets. Having worked in the leading investment banks, insurance companies and consultancies, he has wide experience of implementing ESG, ALM, SAA, and IMV activities along with risk and capital modelling and optimisation for insurance companies.
Bob is a Technical Specialist of the Institute of Risk Management and sits on its Climate Change Special Interest Group committee, a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, as well as being a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society.
Daniel Blamont is Group Investment Operations Director, within the Investment Office at Royal London Group (RLG). Responsibilities include developing RLG’s investment analytics platform, broadening RLG’s asset class universe and investment assumptions setting. Until 2021 Daniel had been at Phoenix Group for 9 years, focusing on Strategic Asset Allocation for annuity funds, helping Phoenix develop its private debt capabilities. Prior to that, he worked for over nine years in investment banking, starting in fixed income research at Deutsche Bank in 2002. From 2006 to 2012 Daniel was in Insurance & Pension structuring at Deutsche Bank and subsequently Credit Suisse.
